Who Killed the Electric Car?
horizontal line

Martin Sheen narrates this informative, in-depth, controversial, and eyebrow and blood pressure raising documentary that gives a detailed history of the electric vehicle (EV) from its conception and appearance on American highways in 1996 to its early well-planned demise and is composed primarily of interviews with EV drivers (such as Peter Horton, Mel Gibson, and Tom Hanks), car company executives, automotive engineers and designers, energy advisors, politicians, and California Air Resource (CAIR) representatives to examine the reasons behind the disappearance of the EVs; to analyze its long-term domino effect on business, government, and consumers; and to determine the guilty parties, including the greedy car and oil companies, state and federal governments, the CAIR board, and skeptical and demanding consumers.
