Night Listener, The After a depressed storyteller (Robin Williams) splits with his longtime lover (Bobby Cannavale) in New York City and his former wife (Sandra Oh) alerts him to a potential hoax involving his biggest fan in this confusing, dark, and mysterious film based on an Armistead Maupin novel, curiosity steers the gay host of a popular nighttime radio show to a small town in Wisconsin where he doggedly searches for the foster mother (Toni Collette) of the sickly teenage author (Rory Culkin) who allegedly wrote a script about his sexual childhood abuse.
