In Search of a Midnight Kiss The city of Los Angeles becomes a surprisingly artistic backdrop to this realistic, engaging, black-and-white film filled with naturalistic dialogue in which a lonely, 29-year-old, wannabe scriptwriter (Scoot McNairy), who lives with two roommates (Brian McGuire and Katie Luong), spends New Year's Eve with an angry, wounded, cynical transplanted Texan (Sara Simmonds) he meets through Craig's List on the Internet.
