Won't Back Down
When a high-energy, motivated, worried secretary/bartender (Maggie Gyllenhaal) becomes concerned about the quality of education that her bullied, dyslexic daughter (Emily Alyn Lind) is receiving at her Pittsburgh elementary school by apathetic teachers in this inspirational, well-acted, factually inspired, star-dotted (Holly Hunter, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Bill Nunn, Ving Rhames, et al.) film, she joins forces with a guilt-ridden teacher (Viola Davis), who has a young son (Dante Brown) with a learning disabilities, to rally other teachers (Rosie Perez, Oscar Isaac, et al.) and parents to take over and to improve the school.
