Night House, The

[Opens Aug. 20 in theaters.] After her husband (Evan Jonigkeit) of fourteen years suddenly and tragically shoots himself with a handgun on their boat in David Bruckner's riveting, eerie, intense, taut, unpredictable, 110-minute, 2020 psychological thriller filled with an ominous and brooding atmosphere, a grieving, traumatized high school teacher (Rebecca Hall) in New York begins to have vivid, realistic, frightening nightmares and to feel a creepy, strange, terrifying presence in her lakeside home when she starts investigating what secrets her husband may have had that led to his suicide while getting support from her friends (Sarah Goldberg and Vondie Curtis-Hall) during this difficult time.
