Ruby's Choice [Available May 7 on various VOD platforms.] When an artistic, Alzheimer's-afflicted, widowed, sunflower-loving, elderly woman (Jane Seymour) accidentally burns down her house while cooking a meal and moves in with her in-denial, financially struggling daughter (Jacqueline McKenzie), son in-law (Stephen Hunter), and teenage granddaughter (Coco Jack Gillies), who have also taken in a divorcing uncle (Brendan Donoghue) and his bullying son (Rory Potter), in Australia in Michael Budd's award-winning, factually inspired, touching, realistic, humor-punctuated, bittersweet, 117-minute film, the granddaughter is initially upset that she must share her bedroom and care for her grandmother but as time passes, she finds herself growing closer.
