Wild Robot, The [Opened Sept. 27 in theaters.] Chris Sanders' entertaining, family-oriented, colorful, heartbreaking, witty, heartwarming, 101-minute sci-fi animated film with wonderful animation and based on Peter Brown's novel in which a smart, tenacious robot (voiceover by Lupita Nyong'o) bonds with an orphaned gosling (voiceover by Boone Storm) and with the help of a mischievous fox (voiceover by Pedro Pascal) teaches the goose (voiceover by Kit Connor) how to find food to swim, and to fly, and after eventually making and protecting friends with the animals (voiceovers by Bill Nighy, Catherine O'Hara, Mark Hamill, Ving Rhames, Matt Berry, et al.) on the remote island, they end up fighting the evil robots (Stephanie Hsu, et al.) who want to take him back to company headquarters and erase his memory.
