Wilding [Available Dec. 16 on DVD and Blu-ray™.] Absolutely stunning cinematography dominates David Allen's award-winning, insightful, captivating, inspirational, informative, 75-minute documentary based on Isabella Tree's 2018 book in which young British couple Isabella Tree (Rhiannon Neads) and Matthew Collyer (Charlie Burell) acquire the immense 400-year-old Knepp estate in West Sussex with the hope of establishing a successful and prosperous farm only to discover that their property has been kept alive for years only through the application of massive quantities of very expensive artificial fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides, and the property is in fact very rundown and infertile, but with the help of nonconventional thinkers, including Ted Green (Jon Wenington), they "bet the farm" on the technique of natural processes to restore the land to its wild state that it was centuries before by removing fences and introducing tame and wild animals such as Tamworth pigs, Longhorn cattle, Exmoor ponies, horses, beavers, and deer as the landscape transforms itself into a wilder and healthier version of itself and becomes one of the most significant examples of rewilding in the world.
